Mallika Sherawat to sue Ram Gopal Varma
It is reported in the media that Bollywood bombshell Mallika Sherawat is gearing up to sue filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma for misusing one of her pictures in his latest film ‘Contract’. It is also known that Mallika never forgoes any opportunity to steal the limelight and keep coming as a hot news item.
The photo in question that has infuriated Mallika is featured in a scene of Ramu’s film ‘Contract’, where a police inspector is shown as talking suggestively to Mallika’s photograph and getting aroused at the same time.
Mallika has reportedly said that Ram Gopal Varma will soon be receiving a legal notice. Ram Gopal Varma is known for taking potshots at his film industry colleagues and he had previously done the same in two of his flicks, ‘Company’ and ‘Road’, where he had taken digs at Karan Johar and Sanjay Leela Bhansali respectively.

Mallika Sherawat slaps Ranvir Shorey repeatedly
There are many scenes in which Ranvir Shorey has to get slapped 99 times by Mallika Sherawat. But Mallika Sherawat was very hesitant and felt very awkward to slap him again and again. And to add to her misery each slap would have to be re-shot.
So Ranvir Shorey, seeing Mallika Sherawat's discomfort, decided to help out. He started rehearsing the angles and how many different ways in which Mallika Sherawat could slap him.
Sachin Khot, the director of Ugly Aur Pagli added, "Ranvir and Mallika are simply mind-blowing as actors… They are very professional and natural actors. Ranvir was supposed to get slapped by Mallika almost 99 times through out the film. To help Mallika, on the sets Ranvir and Mallika used to sit down and device different techniques of slapping. I was stunned to see Ranvir sitting with Mallika and teaching her how to slap him. It was so funny we were all in splits”.
Now enjoy some cool wallpapers showing Mallika Sherawat, though not related to Ugly Aur Pagli.
More Mallika Sherawat pictures
Director Sachin Khot, who forays into Bollywood with the forthcoming romantic comedy Ugly Aur Pagli, is all praise for the lead lady and Bollywood's hottest oomph girl Mallika Sherawat. "In the film, Mallika is the beauty with the brains and she meets a geek (Ranvir Shorey). The story is about how they ultimately fall in love with each other," said Khot.
He further added, "It is a humorous talk on today's relationships and how the tables have turned, where the men are from Venus and women are from Mars and how they are actually playing each other's role.”
On the character played by Mallika director Khot said, "In today's age, women are doing much better in lots of spheres and why shouldn't this be touched upon? Mallika plays a dominating character in the film, but I would not literally call her the man of my film. Luckily, both my actors shared a good chemistry.”
Ranvir Shorey, the male lead who faces Mallika's wrath in the film, said, "It is crazy to even think that a girl is making you do the wildest of things and has complete control over you. One might think that it makes a man effeminate. However, there is an interesting side to it also that how two unlikeliest people fall in love with each other."
Mallika Sherawat is courageous to express her opinions in public. She enjoys a very wide fan-following as any modern celebrity female can have, but she is criticized often by the orthodoxy for her dressing code and bold portrayal of women. Sometimes she borders on the vanity of a spoiled teen as it happened when she labored to promote a Jackie Chan movie. She won only a small role in Jackie Chan’s movie, The Myth but she made a widely publicized appearance at the Cannes Film Festival to promote The Myth. She made news in gossip columns too when she went overboard about the movie and Jackie Chan. However, it is sometimes contagious with celebrities and Mallika Sherawat is not an exception.

Mallika Sherawat’s latest flick, Ugly Aur Pagli
Mallika Sherawat stars opposite Ranvir Shorey in ‘Ugly Aur Pagli’, a fun-filled love story. She acts as Kuhu aka Pagli, an obnoxious, strong and witty girl who is totally out of control in this movie. Pagli has been going through a personal crisis and the only way she can overcome it is to put someone else through a similar fate. That is, find out a loser guy, make him fall in love with her and then turn his life upside down.
Her prey is Ranvir Shorey (as Kabir aka Ugly), a rather boring guy, studying engineering for the last 10 years, desperately looking for a girlfriend. As Ugly meets Pagli one cold winter night at V.T. Station, his life gets turned around in unimaginable ways. More twists and turns, when you watch the film…
Produced by Pritish Nandy and Rangita Nandy, ‘Ugly Aur Pagli’ has music by Anu Malik, lyrics by Amitabh Verma and story by Anil Pandey. The supporting cast includes Tinu Anand, Sushmita Mukherjee and Manish Anand. The movie also has a guest appearance by Payal Rohatgi and a cameo by Zeenat Aman.

More on Asin Thottumkal
Asin, one of the most prominent leading actresses of South Indian Cinema, is said to have signed two new films in Bollywood, even before her first Hindi film Ghajini opposite Aamir Khan hits the theatres.
Reports say that this Malayalee actress has agreed to star in Vipul Shah's London Dreams, in which she will be paired opposite Salman Khan. She has also signed a film to be directed by Priyadarshan opposite Akshay Kumar. However, official confirmation is yet to come. Meanwhile, rumors have it that the release date of Ghajini has changed from October 2 to a later day. Anyway, Asin has already turned one of the hottest newcomers with a couple of films with Bollywood big boys.
After a number of critically and commercially successful films, she received her second South Filmfare Award for Best Actress for her performance in her second Tamil film, Ghajini in 2005. She played the lead female roles in two consecutive top grossers, Ghajini being her biggest commercial success to date.
Ghajini, the original Tamil film’s plot
Sanjay Ramaswamy (Surya) is a rich businessman who owns a cellular phone company named Air Voice and the events surrounding his relationship with Kalpana (Asin).
Kalpana, an ad model goes around telling her crew that she is the love interest of Sanjay. She does this in spite of her having never met him. She goes to the extent of giving an interview about her relationship to a popular magazine. Sanjay comes to hear about this through the media and wants to settle scores with her. On his way, he catches a fleeting glimpse of a young woman (who happens to be Kalpana) helping handicapped children to cross a street. It is love at first sight for Sanjay. He moves on to confront Kalpana at her advertisement studio. He is pleasantly surprised to realize that she is the same helpful woman he saw a while ago. He chooses to hide the fact from her that he is Sanjay, calling himself as Manohar. Kalpana eventually falls in love with him.
On a train to Mumbai, Kalpana saves a group of young girls from abuse by a group of goons led by Lakshman (Pradeep Rawat). Later the goons come to Kalpana's house for revenge. Incidentally, Sanjay arrives there and fights the goons, but during fight Kalpana is murdered. The irony is that Kalpana never knows that he is Sanjay. Lakshman then strikes the downcast Sanjay on his head severely with a metal rod. Sanjay survives the blow, but suffers from a lapse of memory. He cannot remember anything that happened more than 15 minutes back. He frequently has flashbacks of Kalpana's murder. He determines to take revenge on Kalpana's murderers. The rest of the story is about how Sanjay, along with a medical college student, Chitra (Nayantara), goes about finding Lakshman and his gang.

Sindhu Menon is one of the finest actresses of Indian cinema having performed lead roles with most of the superstars of Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu film industries. She is so versatile to suit any roles of traditional Indian women or the most modern girls excelling in western designer outfits. She is one of the busiest actresses capable of producing block-busters.
Helen Mirren in red bikini at 62
Some reporters wrote the snaps of the Oscar-winning actress frolicking on rocks with her husband in Italy evoke memories of Ursula Andress, the Swiss star who played the part of Honey Rider in the James Bond film Dr No, and Brigitte Bardot, the popular '60s actress from Paris, in their heydays.
No doubt, Helen Mirren looked much younger in her two-piece bikini than most women decades younger than her. A woman wrote, "Yes, she does look great but she has never had children! Do not make us mothers feel bad, also it is her job to look good! I do admire her but this is also a very blurry shot ...”
Actress Joan Collins, no slouch herself at 75, was moved enough by the public's palpable surprise in finding a woman in her 60s truly sexy that she wrote a newspaper article about it. "Everyone seemed rather amazed that she was looking so good just days short of her 63rd birthday," Collins said last week. "Yet there are flocks of women in their 50s, 60s and 70s who still look sexy and absolutely wonderful whether in or out of a swimsuit. I certainly applaud Dame Helen for wearing a bikini on which she obviously thought was an extremely secluded stretch of beach."
The photographs were taken in Puglia, on the southern tip of Italy, where Mirren and her American film-director husband Taylor Hackford, 63, own a 500-year-old castle. It is reported Helen Mirren bought the property to celebrate her Best Actress Oscar win for her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth II. (The English stage, film and television actress has won an Oscar, four SAG Awards, four BAFTAs, three Golden Globes and four Emmy Awards during her career.)
In today’s fast-phased life when young women are tormented by lack of confidence, endless anxieties concerning their perceived physical inadequacies and self-harming in a variety of different ways, from going under the scalpel of the cosmetic surgeon to starving themselves with binge eating, it seems, they may not look so good at Mirren’s age.
Middle-aged women don’t are not better off either, desperately trying to keep up with their twenty-something counterparts. Women’s interest in looking good is still not a subject that is taken seriously. Addicted to lipstick, or to making sure that you look nice on the beach, are admitting you are unforgivably shallow. Men snigger derisively and so-called serious women are scornful of such supposedly lightweight interests.
The trick was always turning towards yourself without turning away from men and the older these women are; the better they have managed it, not just in films but in real life, too. Here is something that researchers say, every survey tells us that older women have better, more satisfying sex than their daughters; have more disposable income; are freer; laugh more; have nicer possessions and are better dressed.
What has worked isn’t necessarily increasing politicization, or that many of these women are the right age to have been at the vanguard of the feminist movement. Rather, it is the thrilling combination of age and health, or as Nora Ephron once said, the life-changing power of hair dye.
It is an intractable fact that how we look is tied up with how we feel and that advances over the past 20 years or so mean that we now have the opportunity to defy age and, with it, to defy all the clichés concerning age-appropriate behavior and pastimes. The fact that a 50+ woman doesn’t have to have a turkey neck or great big jowls if she doesn’t want them is as revolutionary as, for example, being paid properly for maternity leave.
Here is a list of women looking still gorgeous:
Sophia Loren, 73 (September 20, 1934)
Jane Fonda, 70 (December 21, 1937)
Julie Christie, 67 (April 14, 1941)
Catherine Deneuve, 64 (October 22, 1943)
Dolly Parton, 62 (January 19, 1946)
Helen Mirren, 62 (July 26, 1945)
Goldie Hawn, 62 (November 21, 1945)
Glenn Close, 61 (March 19, 1947)
Meryl Streep, 59 (June 22, 1949)
Brigitte Bardot, 73 (September 28, 1934)
Glenda Jackson, 72 (May 9, 1936)
And women still young:
Michelle Pfeiffer, 50 (April 29, 1958)
Madonna, 49 (August 16, 1958)
