Madonna, who adopted Malawian boy, David Banda, has become emotionally attached to the African nation and will also be funding orphanages in Malawi. The Material girl is also planning to build a 40-million-dollar school to help provide education to Malawian girls, reports Contactmusic. According to Britain’s Hello! magazine, a government official has revealed that the 4-minutes hit maker will be honored for her loyalty to the country, and the government is planning to grant her the same rights as their citizens.
Madonna’s documentary, I Am Because We Are on the plight of Malawian people was recently screened at Cannes Film Festival in France.
