Kangana Ranaut won the best supporting actress award for her performance in the Bollywood movie “Fashion” at the 10th annual IIFA awards at the gala event in Macau, China. The best actor actress trophy went to the former Miss World Priyanka Chopra for her role in the same movie.
The International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards honours Bollywood (Hindi language film industry) films around the world since 2000. The awards began in 2000 with the first ceremony held in London at The Millennium Dome. From then on the awards were held at locations around the world signifying the international purpose of Hindi Cinema. The award ceremonies were held in Sun City, South Africa (2001), Genting Highlands, Malaysia (2002), Johannesburg, South Africa (2003), Singapore, Republic of Singapore (2004), Amsterdam, The Netherlands (2005), Dubai, United Arab Emirates (2006), Yorkshire, England (2007), and Bangkok, Thailand (2008).
