Bhavana's debut movie Nammal was released in 2002. The film also starred Jishnu and Renuka Menon. The film was a big success. In 2003, she appeared in big hit movies like Chronic Bachelor, C.I.D. Moosa, Swapnakoodu, etc.
Her movies like Youth Festival, Parayam, Bunglavil Outha, etc. bombed at the box office. She appeared in an Item Number in the film Runway in 2004.
In 2005 she got meaty roles in movies like Daivanamathil, Naran, etc. She won the State Award for Best Character Actress for Daivanamathil in 2006. In 2006 she acted only in two films. Chinthamani Kolacase and Chess were the films and were big hits. Her latest movie Chotta Mumbai is a blockbuster with top Malayalam Superstar Mohanlal.
