Aishwarya Rai in the Tamil language movie “Ashokavanam”, directed, written and produced by Mani Ratnam, set to be released in 2009, staring Vikram, Aishwarya Rai and Prithviraj in the lead roles and simultaneously being made in Hindi as Raavan with a slightly different cast. The filming began on October 2008 in Cochin, Kerala and is expected to be released in 2009.
