Meera Chopra (Nila in Tamil films), with a modelling background and a short stint in television (NDTV), started her film career with the Tamil film Anbe Aaruyire produced and directed by S J Suryah in which he played the lead role. Then she acted in Telugu films too. She has got recognition as a successful actress in both the film industries. Vaana (Telugu) and Jaganmohini (Tamil) are some of her noted films.
