Actress Gul Panag, who was Miss India 1999, ranked among the Top 10 contestants at Miss Universe 1999 pageant, and following that started her movie career with Dhoop (2003). Panag has starred in films such as Jurm (2005), Dor (2006), Manorama Six Feet Under (2007), Hello (2008) and Summer 2007 (2008). She was recently featured in the film Rann by Ram Gopal Varma.
Gul Panag has also been a very successful model, appearing in several ads in television and print media, especially for Titan Raga watches and Tata Sky. She is techno-savvy and active on the micro-blogging site Twitter with a sizeable number of followers, and hence she was appointed by Twitter as their ambassador at the recently concluded Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week.
