Actress Meena is to get married to a Bangalore based software engineer on 12th of July, according to reports. The marriage, as some sources say, will be solemnized in Tirupathi. It is expected that her film career will be over though she would continue to be a part of the TV assignments she is already doing.
Meena Durairaj, better known as Meena, her shortened screen name, was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India on September 16, 1976. She has acted in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi films.
Ajith Kumar, Balakrishna, Chiranjeevi, Jayaram, Kamal Haasan, Mammootty, Mohanlal, Nagarjuna, Prabhu Deva, Prashanth, Rajanikanth, Raviteja, Sarathkumar, Sudeep, Suresh Gopi, Surya, Venkatesh, Vijay, Vijayakanth and Vikram are some of the actors she has acted with. Meena has appeared in several television shows and features.
Meena had her education in Chennai. She had her post-graduation (MA in History) from the University of Madras through the Open University system in 2006. Meena is a trained Bharathanatyam dancer and speaks six languages, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada and English.
