After the record breaking opening worldwide of her film Kambakkht Ishq opposite Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor is now very excited about Karan Johar's movie ‘Kurbaan’ which is in post-production stage. Kurbaan, directed by Rensil D'Silva will feature Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor in lead roles along with actor Vivek Oberoi, Om Puri and Dia Mirza in important roles. It is a film based on terrorism and is set in the US and shooting as reportedly in Philadelphia and in Brooklyn. It is expected to be in theatres in November 2009.

Yet another release that Kareena is excited about is the Bollywood movie ‘Main Aur Mrs. Khanna’ in which apart from Kareena, Salman Khan and Sohail Khan appear in main roles. Directed by Prem Soni, the story of the film revolves around the theme of extramarital affair. A joint venture production of Sohail Khan Productions and UTV SpotBoy Pictures, the film will be produced by Sohail Khan and Ronnie Screwvala and is expected for an October 2009 release.

And next release in her kitty for 2009 is the delayed release of ‘Milenge Milenge’, directed by Satish Kaushik and starring Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor in their fifth film together after Imtiaz Ali's Jab We Met (2007), apart from important portrayals by Satish Shah, Aarti Chhabria and Delnaaz Paul. The film actually began shooting in places like Delhi and Dubai in 2004 and was expected to hit the screens in December 2005, but due to some problems it lagged on. As reported, according to producer Boney Kapoor, "...perhaps it was destined that the most romantic film featuring Shahid and Kareena would come after their relationship."
